If you value Maymont, please lend your support today.
Maymont does not have a general endowment or daily admission revenue. Yet its annual operating budget is more than $3 million.
Everyone who visits Maymont-no matter who they are or what means they have-can enjoy Maymont free of admission. And they do! Each year, some 500,000 visitors take advantage of this wonderful opportunity. This generous gift is possible only through the support of Maymont's members, donors and volunteers.
To demonstrate how much we rely on the public, Maymont's support options are almost as diverse as its audience. They range from memberships and memorial gifts to animal "adoptions" and enriching volunteer opportunities.
How can you help?
Support Maymont
Give-and receive-with your membership, a corporate or planned gift. Join our young professionals group-the Dooley Noted Society-or the Council for Conservation, Restoration and Preservation. Remember a loved one or a cherished occasion with the gift of a tree, bench or engraved paver.
Adopt A Living Thing
Care for Maymont's 700 animals totals almost $700,000 each year. When you "adopt" a specific animal-for yourself or on behalf of a child, grandchild, school group, church or business-you simply assume the approximate annual cost for caring for it. Or you can help the animals by purchasing an engraved granite paver to add to those at The Robins Nature & Visitor Center.
Gate Society for Planned Giving
Planned giving by the Dooleys resulted in Maymont becoming a public museum and park. Today, Maymont continues this heritage by providing donors with a variety of deferred giving options that can provide significant income and tax benefits. Gifts to the Maymont Foundation may be made in cash, securities or personal property. Naming and memorial giving opportunities are available as well. To accomplish your family and charitable objectives, please consider a bequest or charitable gift annuity to Maymont.
